@Guide: 45 minute Stratholme
@Date: 6/14/2006
@Update: 06/22/2006
Summary
The 45 minute Stratholme is part of the quest series Dungeon Set 2, also called Tier 0.5. The event will require you to go non-stop pulling and killing things for a full 45 minutes. That means no AFK, no bio, and certainly very little room for error.
Group Combinations
Priest, Paladin/Druid, Mage/Warlock, Warrior, Hunter/Rogue
Objectives
1. Kill Baroness Anastari
2. Baroness Anastari (and ziggurat room)
3. Nerub'enkan (and ziggurat room)
4. Maleki the Pallid (and ziggurat room)
5. Baron Rivendare
6. All within 45 minutes.
Communication
If you have Ventrilo, or Teamspeak use it! Communication is very important throughout the 45 event, especially when you have slow typers or individuals that hate typing altogether. When timing is critical and you need to let your party know your silenced, use a macro! Macros are instant and are displayed in game. Although annoying messages in party chat, they are much faster in informing your party than communicating through Ventrilo or Teamspeak. Ventrilo and Teamspeak, can have a 3-4 second delay from the moment you press your Push-2-Talk button until the receipt hears your message.
Starting the 45 Event
After you kill the first three pulls, the second gate starts the timer on the 45 minute run. The best suggestion I can provide is to not worry so much about the clock until the end towards Baron Rivendare. The key here, is to attempt to slay all the bosses (above) without having any down-time (e.g. deaths, and resting). You will need to constantly pull mobs.
Character Roles
Priest
For Priests, there main job obliviously is to keep people alive, however there secondary objective is to keep as much mana at the end of the battle as possible. As for CC, you will be doing a lot of Shackling. If you have Silence you may help on pulls by pulling casters towards camp (always indicate to the puller before casting).
-Use Greater Heals as much as possible, worse case Flash Heals and Power Word Shields.
-Immediately after each battle rest up with your crystal waters, even when your near full.
-Towards the end of the instance run while slaying Baron, make sure you have at least one Mana pot available, and use it early when you're near half empty on mana points.
-If you have a Pally in your group. . . Use your wand whenever possible, whenever Judgment of Wisdom is casted on mobs to obtain more mana points.
Paladin
Pally's primary roll is to off tank mobs, simply said. Secondary to cleanse and emergency heal your friendly's to help conserve the Priest's mana.
-Use Judgment of Wisdom whenever possible and of course Blessing of Wisdom if you have available.
-It may also be necessary to use Righteous Fury to obtain hate management when Off-Tanking.
Druid
As for Druids there main roll is to remove curses and poisons, assist heal, off tank, or dps. If the option of Innervate is available, cast it as many times on the priest whenever s/he is low on mana. There really is no restriction on which shape you play however, try to keep the priest's mana up to a max, by Innervate, by removing curses and poisons, etc.
Mages and Warlocks
There role is to AoE whenever there is a NEED, otherwise single target assist on your Hunter or Rogue.
If you're a Mage, sheep whenever possible on Humans, however sheep after the pulls. . . The best method in my experience is to mark your target with Detect Magic and Sheep at camp. Sheeping your target at camp is best because of the aggro it may get once it awakes (it may aggro another camp). If you have a Hunter in your group never sheep the Hunter's Mark. Additionally, watch what is being pulled and use Counter Spell (CS) to pull casters towards camp (always indicate to the puller before casting, by using a macro).
Warlocks can assist in CC with there Voidwalker, always watch what your DoTing as those DoT's may prevent Frost Traps, Sheep, Sap and Shackles. Do not attack what your Voidwalker is attacking, assist your Hunter or Rogue.
Always rest after the battle is over!
Warrior
If not a Hunter a Warrior may pull. Pulling throughout Strat is one of the most difficult tasks in a 45. One wrong pull gets you a wipe, or perhaps more downtime which you may need during boss fights. Always indicate (if your pulling) where camp is. Always try pulling with a bow/gun. If there is a caster that needs pulling ask a priest or a mage, if not use LoS pulling methods. LoS pulling is when you pull the mob away from LoS.
Your main role is tanking, and producing as much threat towards mobs as possible.
Hunter/Rogue
Hunters and Rogues together are probably the best savors in this event. Concussive Shot Hunter or Stun lock Rogue. You are the one's responsible for watching runners, and to down them as quickly as possible. You will also be the one's responsible for assisting which target's need to be downed first.
Hunters place your freezing trap behind or beside camp, use Distracting shot to grab a mob towards you.
See "Double Freeze trapping":

Rogues Sap human's prior from engaging into combat. You do not have Improve Sap, let the party know. If by some reason your sap fails, attempt a vanish, or prepair to die away from camp!
Overall Group
-If you aggro a group by accident, and you know your party cannot survive with the added amount of mobs-the best method is to Vanish if you're a rogue, Feign Death if your hunter, or die.
-If you see a party member aggroing a set of mobs by accident do not assist in the attack, unless you can defeat the group successfully. One person's death is faster than an entire party wipe in this event.
-If you're a priest, I recommend you have a macro setup for Silence and Out of Mana calls.
Pulling
Whenever your pulling mobs to camp, always have either the Tank with a Bow/Gun pull, or let a hunter pull. Down Casters first, and CC Meelee.
